Title III Accomplishments
Smart Classrooms
At the beginning of Title III each classroom was traditional in scope with no or little technology available. As of year four of the Title III grant, four GED classrooms, two science classrooms, one business classroom, and one nursing classroom have been made into Smart classrooms.
Each classroom is equipped with the following:
- Smart Boards
- Projectors
- DVD/VCR
- Lumens Document Cameras
- Dell Computers
- Crestron Controllers
- Storage Cabinet
English/Writing Lab
An English/Writing lab was added to the College of the Ouachitas campus in 2005. The lab consists of 15 computers with "I Can Write", Daedalus, and e-Compass Software. The Lab also has bistro writing areas and a print station.
Retention Success Rate
Under Title III, College of the Ouachitas faculty/staff have seen an improvement of retention/success rates in developmental courses.
